Yes, and no. Many valuable and effective marketing tools are themselves free or low cost.
Marketing is not the same as it used to be as evidenced by the continued downfall of traditional media such as newspapers and magazines whose primary revenue used to be advertising.
Blogs, email newsletters, social media sites, etc. can be extremely effective marketing tools.
The great news is that these things do not have the same sort of cost as traditional ads or commercials and can reach just as many, if not more, people. The only real cost to these solutions is in utilizing an expert to set these up for you and use them to their fullest potential.
So is marketing now completely free? Not exactly, but now, instead of paying most of your marketing budget for ad space, you can save money and still afford to hire the best talent to move your campaign forward.
